Abstract

PERENCANAAN DAN PERANCANGAN WAHANA KEBUDAYAAN PASOLA DI KABUPATEN SUMBA BARAT DAYA (Pendekatan Transformasi Arsitektur) Program Studi Arsitektur, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Katolik Widya Mandira Kupang Jl. San Juan Penfui 01, Kupang, 85111, INDONESIA Iyamalfonso08@gmail.com ABSTRAK Wahana Kebudayaan Pasola merupakan sebuah ide pengembangan area Pasola yang awalnya hanya sebuah acara tradisi local di Pulau Sumba. Fasilitas tersebut ditujukan menjadi salah satu tempat /gerbang pengenalan budaya Sumba khususnya tradisi Pasola yang memiliki kebaruan, menarik, bersifat rekreatif-edukatif dan juga dengan mempertimbangkan keunikan atau kekhasan lokal Sumba. Fasilitas ini diharapkan juga menjadi inspirasi bagi pengunjung domestik, mancanegara masyarakat dan bahkan generasi-genarasi muda Sumba yang datang untuk melestarikan tradisi dan budaya Pasola dan Sumba pada umumnya. Permasalahan dalam perencanaan dan perancangan Wahana kebudayaan pasola terdapat yaitu: Bagaimana mengembangkan tempat Pasola yang awalnya hanya merupakan tempat pagelaran atraksi masyarakat lokal menjadi salah satu wadah atau tempat /gerbang pengenalan budaya Sumba Sumba khususnya tradisi Pasola yang sedikit baru, menarik, bersifat rekreatif-edukatif dan Bagaimana merancang area Wahana Kebudayaan Sumba yang dapat berdampingan atau selaras dengan lingkungan sosial masyarakat sekitar tanpa merusak, merubah atau menganggu lingkungan masyarakat sekitar. Tema yang digunakan dalam perancangan Wahana Kebudayaan Sumba tersebut yaitu “Transformasi Arsitektur”. “Transformasi Arsitektur” yaitu tema arsitektur yang berwawasan lokalitas atau kekhasan kondisi lingkungan fisik alamiah dan sosial masyarakat sekitar Sumba. Transformasi Arsitektur dimaksudkan untuk memaknai tentang bagaimana kita melakukan pembelajaran tentang sejarah bangunan, material, latar belakang sosial, isuisu konservasi, konstruksi bangunan yang sangat erat terkait dengan arsitektur Sumba. Kata kunci: Tradisi Pasola, Arsitektur Transformasi Arsitektur ABSTRACT Pasola Cultural Vehicle is an idea to develop Pasola area which was originally just a local tradition event on Sumba Island. The facility is intended to be one of the places/gates to introduce Sumba culture, especially the Pasola tradition which has a novelty, interesting, recreational-educative nature and also taking into account the uniqueness or local specialties of Sumba. This facility is also expected to be an inspiration for domestic tourism, foreign communities and even generations of young Sumba who has responsibility to preserve the traditions and culture of Pasola and Sumba in general. The problems in the design of Pasola Cultural Vehicle are:How to develop the Pasola site which was originally only a place for local community attractions to be one of the platforms or places/gates of Sumba Sumba culture introduction, especially the Pasola tradition which is a little new, interesting, and is creative-educational. and How to design a Pasola Cultural Vehicle area that can co-exist or harmonize with the social environment of the surrounding community without damaging, changing or disturbing the surrounding community environment. The theme used in the design of the Pasola Cultural Vehicle is "Architectural Transformation". "Architectural Transformation" is an architectural theme with a locality of the natural physical and social conditions of the community around Sumba. Localism is intended to make sense of how we do learning about building history, materials, social background, conservation issues, building construction which is very closely related to the environment and architecture of Sumba.
