Abstract

The research was titled "Analysis of the Influence of School Participation Rate, Life Expectancy and Open Unemployment Rate on the Human Development Index in North Central Timor Regency". Under the guidance of Supervisor I Mr. Adrianus Ketmoen, SE., MM and Supervisor II Br. Salomon Leki, SE., M.Ec.Dev The human development index is one of the indicators to determine economic development that measures the level of physical and non-physical quality of the population, namely health, education level and economic indicators. Economic growth and human development are related and contribute to each other. The purpose of the study was to determine the influence of school participation rate, life expectancy and open unemployment rate on the human development index in North Central Timor district. This study is a quantitative research using secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of North Central Timor district using the time period from 2013 to 2022. The method used in this study is the multiple linear regression method. The results of the study showed that in a partial t-test, the variables of school participation rate and open unemployment rate had no effect on the human development index in North Central Timor district while the life expectancy variable had an effect on the human development index in North Central Timor district. In the simultaneous test of F, the variables of school participation rate, life expectancy and open unemployment rate had a significant effect simultaneously (overall) on the human development index in North Central Timor district from 2013 to 2022. Then, the determination coefficient test showed that the contribution of independent variables to the dependent variables simultaneously (overall) was 94.2% while the remaining 5.8% was influenced by other variables outside this study.
