Abstract

This research was written by Maxmilianus R. Regho Dapa (3112051), Development Economics study program under the guidance of Mr. Adrianus Ketmoen, SE, MM and Mrs. Enike Tje Yustin Dima SE, ME with the title "The Role of Farmer Groups in Increasing the Income of Rice Farmers in Oefafi Village , Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency ". This research aims to determine the role of farmer groups and the income of lowland rice farmers in Oefafi Village, and to determine the relationship between the role of farmer groups and income from lowland rice farming businesses in Oefafi Village, East Kupang District, Kupang Regency. used was a quantitative descriptive method with secondary data collection techniques through farmer group data from Oefafi village extension workers, direct observation and interviews with a sample of 40 farmers from 24 farmer groups, sampling was carried out using the simple random sampling method. Analysis of the role of farmer groups using a scoring system, analysis of farmer income using the formula Pd = TR – TC, and to see the relationship between the role of farmer groups and farmers' income levels using the Chi-Square test with SPSS IBM 20 tools The research results show that the results of the research show that the role of farmer groups in increasing the income of rice farmers in Oefafi Village, Kupang Tengah District, Kupang Regency is that the results of the role of farmer groups are in the "High" category with an average overall score level of 263. The scores from to three indicators, namely learning classes with a score of 288 in the high category, collaboration vehicles with a score of 275 in the high category and production units with a score of 226 in the low category. The average income earned by lowland rice farmers in Hutabalang Village, Badiri District, Central Tapanuli Regency in one planting season is IDR 9,028,594. The role of farmer groups is related to the income of lowland rice farmers in Oefafi Village, Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency. Chi Square test results, Asymp results. Sig is 0.001. Because the value of Asymp. Sig 0.001 < 0.05, it can be seen that there is a significant relationship between the role of farmer groups and the income of lowland rice farmers in Oefafi Village, East Kupang District, Kupang Regency.
