Abstract

This research examines: "The Role of the Village Government as a Facilitator in Socializing Local Food Processing to Overcome Stunting in Kanganara Village, Detukeli District, Ende Regency". This study aims to determine how the role of the Kanganara village government as a facilitator in socializing local food processing to prevent stunting and to find out what are the inhibiting factors in the village's role in socializing local food processing to overcome stunting. This study uses the theory of the role of government as a facilitator according to Ryas Rasyid and the role of government in socializing local food processing according to Zanden. This research uses qualitative deductive research with the problem approach in this research is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews and documentation.The results showed that the role of the village government as a facilitator in socializing local food processing to overcome stunting in Kanganara Village, Detukeli District, Ende Regency is quite good. Judging from the results of research on the role of the village government facilitator in training, namely providing infrastructure, determining the day and time, and carrying out local food processing practices, then in providing capital assistance the government has carried out its role as a facilitator by providing budget assistance for the strategies carried out, As well as in the role of socializing, namely in the field of education, the government has taken actions such as preparing material about local food processing to prevent stunting which will be disseminated to the community and in improving skills, the government has played a role as a party that socializes local food processing, namely by providing intensive to the community and the budget for local food processing is in line with the government's goal to overcome stunting in Kanganara village by using existing local food processing. However, in carrying out its role, the government experienced obstacles in facilitating and socializing local food processing to overcome stunting due to the lack of community sympathy for participating in this activity such as lack of community participation due to personal obstacles, poor coordination which caused the community to feel offended, precession and community attitudes, namely the community was less interested because they thought they were used to and could practice local food processing without being taught.
