Abstract

hesis that discusses the influence of discovery learning learning models on the interests and learning outcomes, motivated by the lack of interest in learning of students and the low learning outcomes of students. In detail the problems in this study: (1) What is the teacher's ability to manage learning using the discovery learning learning model of the main business and energy material in students of class X MIA 3 kupang Public High School 2018/2019 ?, (2) How to Influence Discovery Learning Learning Model towards learning interest of students of X MIA 3 class SMA 5 Kupang in the matter of Business and Energy ?, (3) How to Influence Discovery Learning Learning Model on learning outcomes in the cognitive domain of X MIA 3 students in Kupang 5 SMA Material of Business and Energy? The objectives of this study are (1) to describe the teacher's ability to manage learning by using the Discovery Learning Learning Model on Business and Energy material in students of class X MIA 3 Kupang SMA Negeri 5, (2) to describe the influence of the Discovery Learning learning model on students' learning interests class X MIA 3 Kupang 5 Public High School in the matter of Business and Energy, (3) To describe the influence of the Discovery Learning learning model on learning outcomes in the cognitive realm of students of class X MIA 3 Kupang State Senior High School 5 on Business and Energy material. This type of research is descriptive and associative. The subjects of this study were teachers (researchers) and students of class X MIA 3 Kupang 5 Public High School 2018/2019 academic year, amounting to 31 students. While the instruments used in this study are Learning Management Learning Sheet, Cognitive Learning Outcomes Test, and Student Interest Questionnaire. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests and questionnaires. The research analysis technique used is quantitative and associative descriptive analysis which includes the calculation of the average score, proportion and percentage. The results of this study are (1) the teacher's ability to manage learning is in a good category (2) there is the influence of discovery learning learning models on students' interest in learning, the results obtained from significance values smaller than 0.05, a significance value of 0,000 (2) there is the influence of discovery learning learning models on learning outcomes, the results obtained from significance values smaller than 0.05, a significance value of 0,000.
