Abstract

This research was written by Jacinda Lunga Lado (31120072). Development Economics Study Program under the Guidance of Supervisor 1 Mrs. Dr. M.E Perseveranda, SE,M.Si and Supervisor 2 Br.Salomon Leki,SE,M.Ec.Dev with the research title "Analysis of Factors that Influence the Income of Seaweed Farmers in Mbueain Village, West Rote District, Rote Ndao Regency". The aim of this research is to find out partially and simultaneously whether capital (X1), production amount (X2) and work experience (X3) have a significant partial and simultaneous effect on the income of seaweed farmers in Mbueain Village, West Rote District, Rote Ndao Regency. This research uses quantitative research. The data source used is primary data. The location of this research is in Rote Ndao Regency, precisely in Mbueain Village, West Rote District. The population in this study were all seaweed farmers in Mbueain Village. Sample determination was carried out using a purposive sampling technique by taking 56 seaweed farmers. The results of this research show that: Partially Capital (X1), Total Production (X2) has a positive and significant effect on the income of seaweed farmers in Mbueain Village, West Rote District, Rote Ndao Regency, while Work Experience (X3) has a positive and insignificant effect seen from normality test results with a probability value of 0.4037 > 0.05. Simultaneously Capital (X1), Production Amount (X2) and Work Experience (X3) have a positive and significant effect on the income of seaweed farmers in Mbueain Village, West Rote District, Rote Ndao Regency as seen from the Simultaneous Significance Test, the calculated F value is 494025.2 > table F value namely 4.027 and the sig value is 0.000000 ≤ 0.05, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that capital, production amount and work experience together have a significant effect on the income of seaweed farmers in Mbueain Village. Suggestions for Seaweed Farmers: For seaweed farmers to increase access to capital so that seaweed farmers' income will increase further. If seaweed farmers' capital decreases, seaweed farmers can access capital at the nearest cooperative so as to increase capital and increase seaweed production, this will increase the income of seaweed farmers.
