Abstract

The problem in this study was : 1)how is the techer’s ability to manage learning applying a problem based learning model in the subject matter of energy and power business? 2) how is the completeness of indicators of student learning outcomes by applying the problem based learning model in the subject matter of energy and power business? 3) how is the completeness of students learning outcomes by applying problem based learning models in the subject matter of energy and power business? 4) how do students respond to learning by applying a problem based learning model to the subject matter of energy and power business? The purpose of this study is : 1)describe the teacher’s ability tommanage learning by applying the problem based learning model in the subject matter of energy and power business. 2) describe the completeness of the indicators of student learning outcomes by applying a problem based learning model in the subject matter of energy and power businesses. 3)describe the completeness of student learning outcomes by applying a problem based learning model in the subject matter of energy and power businesses. 4)describe the response of students to learning by applying a problem based learning model in the subject matter of energy and power businesses. This type of research is descriptive research and the subject of this study is teachers (researchers) and students of class X Mia 4 senior high school 4 Kupang even semester of the year 2018/2019 which number 36 people. Learning tools used are teaching materials for students, learning implementation plans, student worksheets, grids and learning outcomes tests. The techniques used to collect data in this study were questionnaires, observations, and tests. The instrumentsused in this study were learning planning assessment sheets, learning implementation observation sheets, learning evaluation sheets, learning outcomes tests (cognitive, affective, psychotor), student response sheets. The analysis technique for this research data is descriptive analysis by calculating the average, percentage, and proportion values. Based on the results of descriptive research data, it is said that the application of the problem based learning model is optimal for energy and power business subject matter in state senior high school X Mia students in the even semester of the 2018/2019 academic year totaling 36 people. In detail as follows: 1) the teacher’s ability to manage learning by applying a problem based learning model which includes planning, implementing, and evaluating learning to obtain an average score of 3.77, 3.83, and 4.00. 2) completeness of indicators of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning outcomes prepared to obtain an average proportion of completeness in succession is 0,87, 0.87, 0.81. 3) completeness of learning outcomes of students (cognitive, affective, psychomotor) obtain the proportion of successive averages is 0.81, 0.88, 0.81. 4) the response of students of the implementation of learning gets an average score of achievement indicators for all aspects is 84.55.
