Abstract
The song Ema Wele Mbana is a pop song from Sikka-Lio region created by Paolus Ra’u which means the departure of a father forever (died). The poetry contained in the song tells real life story of the creator which contains a certain form and meaning. The problem formulation raised in this research is; (1) what is the form of the song Ema Wele Mbana from the Sikka region-Lio Maumere by Paolus Ra’u. (2) What is the meaning of the poem Ema Wele Mbana, the regional pop song Sikka-Lio Maumere by Paolus Ra’u. with research objectives namely; (1) To find out form of the pop song Ema Wele Mbana in the Sikka-Lio Maumere area by Paolus Ra’u. (2) To find out the meaning contained in the poem Ema Wele Mbana the regional pop song Sikka-Lio Maumere by Paolus Ra’u. This research is descriptive qualitative in nature, the method used is ethnography, data collection in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research shows that the song of Ema Wele Mbana has 32 bars, 4 motifs, and also this song is a song that has 3 forms, namely form A, B, and form C. The climax and coda in the song Ema Wele Mbana wich was collected by researchers, namely, this song shows the meaning of sadness, and classified as a lament poem about the departure to the end of life (died). Thus it can be concluded that the song Ema Wale Mbana has several forms that are studied in the form of motifs, phrases, climax, coda and time signature. The meaning of Ema Wale Mbana’s poetry is to teach the people of legu woda village in particular and to listeners in general that in social life there is a need for a competent social communication, mutual assistance to one another.
