Abstract

A resort hotel is an area where there is accommodation and facilities for lodging and recreation. Resort hotels are usually located in places with a natural backdrop such as beaches, mountains and other natural tourist attractions. Resort can also be interpreted as a tourism service which has at least 5 types of services, namely lodging services, beverage and food services, sales outlets, entertainment and recreational places and facilities. The high number of tourists who come to Octopus Bay beach means that unfortunately there are no facilities and infrastructure that support tourism. The unavailability of facilities and infrastructure on Gurita Bay beach, such as accommodation and various facilities, means that if tourists want to stay overnight, they have to stay at a hotel or inn in Atambua City. The hotels or lodging offered are city hotels which are only for overnight stays but do not provide the experience of staying and traveling at the same time. Not only that, but the land around the coast has also not been empowered properly. Infrastructure development is increasing but does not pay attention to the negative impacts on the environment. Development that uses manufactured materials that cannot be recycled or reused results in environmental damage, so to support tourism, sustainable development is needed using local and other natural materials, this while maintaining environmental quality.
