Abstract

Atambua Regional General Hospital (RSUD) identifies several common diseases experienced by pregnant women such as Preeclampsia, Anemia, Urinary Tract Infections, Hyperemesis Gravidarum, Hydatidiform Mole, Placenta Previa, Abortion, Ectopic Pregnancy, Premature Birth, and Uterine Rupture. However, one of the diseases that leads to a relatively high mortality rate is Preeclampsia. The objective of this research is to design and develop an expert system to address health issues in pregnant women. This aims to provide ease and serve as an alternative for providing knowledge about diagnosing diseases in pregnant women and as a consultation tool during pregnancy. The application is built using the PHP programming language and MySQL Database. The development of the expert system follows the Expert System Life Cycle model, which consists of stages including assessment of conditions, knowledge collection, design, testing, documentation, and maintenance, with decision-making based on the Bayes' Theorem method. The result of this research is the design and development of a web-based expert system application capable of diagnosing diseases in pregnant women. Through the development and testing of this expert system application, it can diagnose diseases in pregnant women and provide solutions to manage these diseases.
