Abstract

Belu Regency has a rich culture which includes traditions, dances, traditional houses, traditional clothing, traditional ceremonies and culinary delights that need to be preserved and introduced to the wider community. However, in efforts to introduce culture, the obstacle faced by the Belu regional Tourism and Culture office is the lack of budget support for carrying out cultural promotion activities. This research aims to develop a web-based information system which is one way to overcome this problem by providing an effective platform for introducing Belu Regency culture to the public. This system development methodology uses a structured software development approach with stages of analysis, design, implementation and testing. This system uses PHP, as well as a MYSQL database for information storage. Tests were carried out using the black box method and the test results showed that the web-based Belu Regency cultural introduction information system can run well on various devices and browsers. With this system, it is hoped that it can overcome the constraints of limited funds by providing a cheap and effective platform to introduce Belu culture widely.
