Abstract

Lego-lego is a traditional art of the Alor community, especially the Abuy tribe. It contains elements of dance singing and literature. Lego-lego is performed in the form of a circle, the singing aspect is performed in the form of refrains by all participants and traditional rhymes performed by a speaker as dance accompaniment, The problems in this study are, (1) How is the process of presenting lego-lego art involving Lego-lego singing and dance in the Abuy Tribe, Alor Regency. (2) What is the meaning of the singing poem in accompanying the Lego-lego dance in the Abuy tribe, Alor Regency. The objectives of this study are (1) To find out the process of presenting Lego-lego dance which involves singing and dancing. (2) To find out the meaning of the singing poems that accompany the Lego-lego Dance in the Abui Tribe, Alor Regency. This research is qu alitative, the method used in this research is ethnographic method. Data collection techniques using observation, documentation and interviews. The results showed that the process of presenting Lego-lego singing as an accompaniment to lego-lego dance begins with singing the opening part of the song followed by the song chorus interspersed with rhymes interspersing the refrain of the song, followed by singing the second song which begins with the opening part of the song followed by singing the second song.
