Abstract
HAMZAH, Thesis entitled "The Influence of Principal Leadership Style, School Climate, Work Motivation on Teacher Performance with Work Discipline as an Intervening Variable at MAN Kupang City", written by Hamzah, NIM81122029, supervised by Dr. Simon Sia Nih, SE, M.Si, and Dr. Agapitus H. Kaluge, M. Pd. This research aims to understand (1) the principal's leadership style, school climate, work motivation, work discipline, and the performance of Kupang City MAN teachers, (2) the influence of the principal's leadership style on the performance of Kupang City MAN teachers, (3) the influence of school climate on the performance of Kupang City MAN teachers, (4) the influence of work motivation on the performance of Kupang City MAN teachers, (5) the influence of the principal's leadership style on the work discipline of Kupang City MAN teachers, (6) the influence of school climate on the work discipline of Kupang City MAN teachers, (7) the influence of work motivation on the work discipline of Kupang City MAN teachers, (8) the influence of work discipline on the performance of Kupang City MAN teachers, (9) the influence of the principal's leadership style, school climate, and work motivation through work discipline on the performance of City MAN teachers Kupang. This research is quantitative research. The data collection technique was carried out using a questionnaire method which contained a list of statements regarding each variable studied. The respondents and data sources for this research are Kupang City State Madrasah Aliyah teachers. The sample used was a saturated sample of 60 respondents. Data analysis in this research used the SmartPLS 4.0 program. Hypothesis testing using the PLS approach is carried out in two stages, namely testing the outer model and inner model. The outer model test was carried out to prove the validity and reliability of all indicators for each variable. The inner model test was carried out to test the influence between variables according to the previously established hypothesis. The results of the research show: (1) the leadership style of the Head of MAN Kupang City is rated as adequate, the school climate of MAN Kupang City is rated as sufficient, work motivation at MAN in Kupang City is rated as sufficient, the performance of MAN Kupang City teachers is rated as good, (2) the leadership style of the school principal has a significant effect on teacher performance, (3) school climate has a significant effect on teacher performance, (4) work motivation has a significant effect on teacher performance, (5) the principal's leadership style has a significant effect on work discipline, (6) school climate has a significant effect on work discipline, (7) work motivation has a significant effect on work discipline, (8) work discipline has a significant effect on teacher performance, (9) the principal's leadership style, school climate, work motivation have a significant effect on teacher performance through work discipline.
