Abstract

This research was written by Leo Agung Sudarso Utha Reda (31120038), Department of Development Economics, under the guidance of Dr. M.E Perseveranda SE. M.Si, as supervisor I, and Mr. Adrianus Ketmoen, SE, MM as supervisor II, with the research title “Determinants of Regency / City Economic Growth in East Nusa Tenggara Province”. This study was conducted to analyze the determinants of district / city economic growth in East Nusa Tenggara Province in order to determine the partial and simultaneous influence between the independent variables on the dependent variable. The analysis technique used is panel data regression with time series and crosssection data. The dependent variable used is economic growth (GRDP per capita) with independent variables namely investment (PMDN), labor and human development index. This research is quantitative in nature by sourcing secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics of East Nusa Tenggara province. The population in this study is the overall data of investment, labor and human development index district / city in East Nusa Tenggara province. The sample used in this study is data on investment, labor and human development index (2018-2022). The data collected is then processed using the E-Views 10 program, to see the results of panel data regression estimation, classical assumption test and hypothesis testing. Partial test results show that the investment variable (X1) has a negative and insignificant effect on economic growth in East Nusa Tenggara Province which is indicated by a t-statistic value of -0.046396 < 1.73406 and a prob (significance) value of 0.9631 > 0.05, the labor variable (X2) has a positive and significant effect on economic growth in East Nusa Tenggara Province which is indicated by a t-statistic value of 2. 956512 > 1.73406 and a prob (significance) value of 0.0040 < 0.05 and the Human Development Index Variabel has a positive and significant effect on economic growth in East Nusa Tenggara Province which is indicated by a t-statistic value of 17.54073 > 1.73406 and a prob (significance) value of 0.0000 < 0.05. The simultaneous test results show the value of the F-statistic value of 4009.583> F table of 3.159907 with Prob (F-statistic) of 0.000000 <0,05 it can be concluded that the variables of investment, labor and human development index (X) have a positive and significant effect simultaneously on economic growth in East Nusa Tenggara province (Y). It is hoped that future researchers will be able to add other variables that could affect economic growth in East Nusa Tenggara Province, in order to deliver even better results..
