Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of the application of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model of the subject matter of the Solar System to students of class VII C Even Semester Middle School St. Yoseph Naikoten Kupang Academic Year 2018/2019. In detail the objectives to be achieved are 1) describing the teacher's ability to manage learning by applying the cooperative learning model of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type. 2) describing the cooperative skills of students in learning activities by applying the cooperative learning model of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type. 3) describe the completeness of the indicators of learning outcomes by applying the cooperative learning model of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type. 4) describe the completeness of learning outcomes by applying the cooperative learning model of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type. 5) describe the response of students to learning activities by applying the cooperative learning model type Student Team Achievement Division (STAD). This type of research is descriptive research, Subjects in this study were teachers (researchers) and students of class VII C even semester SMPK St. Yoseph Naikoten Kupang Academic Year 2018/2019 which amounted to 24 students. The subject of this study was determined using purposive sampling technique which is a technique of determining samples with certain considerations. The research design used was one-group pretest and post-test design. The techniques used in collecting data were observation, tests and questionnaires. The instruments used in this study were learning management observation sheets, learning outcomes tests and response sheets for students. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis techniques which include average scores, proportions and percentages The results of the descriptive analysis show that learning by applying cooperative learning models Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) subject matter of the Solar System to students of class VII C even semester SMPK St. Yoseph Naikoten Kupang Academic Year 2018/2019, which amounted to 24 students was optimal. In detail, the ability of educators to manage learning includes learning planning, learning implementation, and learning evaluation, both with an average score of 3.90; 3.84; and 4.00. Students' cooperative skills include: being on assignments, taking turns and sharing assignments, encouraging participation, asking / answering, and listening actively, in general and the average is within the limits of the effectiveness set. Indicators of learning outcomes from the three aspects, namely cognitive, affective, and psychological obtained the proportion of 0.86; 0.81 and 0.88. Learning outcomes (LO) of students from all three aspects, namely cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects obtained an average proportion of 0.87, 0.78 and 0.89. Response of students to learning activities which includes; preliminary activities, core activities, closing activities, time allocation and class atmosphere obtain an average percentage of 89.03%.
