Abstract

This undergraduate thesis is entitled Integration of Local Wisdom in Village Development (Case Study of the Gemohing Tradition in the Lamaholot Indigenous Community of Sandosi Village, Witihama District, East Flores Regency). The problem formulation in writing this undergraduate thesis is "How is the Integration of Local Wisdom in Village Development studied from the Gemohing Tradition in the Lamaholot Indigenous Community of Sandosi Village, Witihama District, East Flores Regency?" The aim of this research is to describe and analyze the Integration of Local Wisdom in Village development that is studied from the Gemohing Tradition in the Lamaholot Indigenous Community of Sandosi Village, Witihama District, East Flores Regency. The theory used by the author is mutual cooperation (gemohing). The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The technique for determining informants used in this research is purposive sampling technique. The result of this research shows that; mutual cooperation (gemohing) grows and flows on the basis of gemohing values in the Sandosi village, like trusting each other, respecting each other, helping each other and having awareness of the importance of social interaction. (Gemohing) mutual cooperation has a positive impact on the togetherness that exists naturally because of a sense of mutual need for each other, both individuals and groups, and gemohing gives the impact of awareness of responsibility to deal with various social conditions that exist in Sandosi village. Based on the results of the analysis, the author concludes that the Integration of Local Wisdom, gemohing, in the Sandosi village community was formed through awareness of the importance of togetherness, an attitude of helping or needing each other and is still carried out by the community in the Sandosi village as part of facing the problems of social interaction and mutual welfare in developing the Sandosi village.
