Abstract

NTT Province is one of 10 provinces set by the Government to become a leading tourist destination. Tourism Attractions (DTW) owned by NTT Province are 458 DTW. With the increasing number of tourists visiting NTT, Timor Island is one of the main tourist destinations. The island of Timor is an island in the southern part of the archipelago, located between the countries of East Timor and the West Timor Region. The width of the island is around 30,777 km2, there are 5 regencies and 1 municipality, namely, Kota Kupang, Kabupaten Kupang,Kabupaten TTS, Kabupaten TTU, Kabupaten Malakaand Kabupaten Belu. The island has a rich tourism potential, where the island is known to have millions of charms of natural wealth, clear waters, unique forests, and the lives of Timorese tribes who still maintain tradition. However, information on a website with the address www.dispar.nttprov.go.id, is submitted to tend to be in a static format and relatively difficult to update the information quickly. Therefore, through the Geographic Information System Tourism is expected to display an overview of the tourist map of the island of Timor so that it is more interesting and can be enjoyed by the wider community.The system development method used in this study is the Waterfall method. The map design displayed in this system uses Google Maps API, programming languages, PHP7 and MySQL as a database server.Geographical information system where tourism on the web-based island of Timor is a system that provides information to the public about the location of tourist objects on the island of Timor along with supporting facilities. The information presented on this website includes information on the location of tourist attractions, types of tours, news and facilities around tourist sites.
