Abstract

Have done the isolation and characterization of compounds are secondary metabolites from Niko plant leaves (Grewia koordersiana Burrett). The purpose of this research is to know the types of secondary metabolites with phytochemical screening methods and characteristics of secondary metabolite compounds found in Niko plant leaves (Grewia koordersiana Burrett) origin of Camplong Kupang. Methods used i.e. method of extraction, chromatography and spectrophotometry. As many as 200 g of leaf powder Niko, macerated with solvent methanol for 24 hours and obtained extracts condensed of methanol leaf Niko weighing 36,52 g with 18,26% yield. Test results positive shows Niko plant leaves phytochemicals contains flavonoids, saponins and steroid. The separation of the active compounds in oil, using chromatography column with phase motion methanol : ethyl acetate: chloroform (0,5:1,5:3) and retrieved 20 faction. KLT test results against the entire faction with solvent methanol: chloroform (1:3 v/v) retrieved 6 factions that have a single spot i.e. the fraction 2, 7, 9, 17, 18 and 19 with a value Rf 0,3. Results of methanol extracts of the leaf isolates Niko identified by UV-Vis Spectrophotometry and shows two peaks of maximum absorption at a wavelength of 280 nm (tape I) and 225 nm (tape II) shows the electron transition happens *. While at a wavelength of 280 nm (Tape II) shows the electron transition occurs n*. FTIR spectrum of results the results showed the presence of isolates vibration output the O-H phenol (3383.14 cm-1), aliphatic C-H (2983.88 cm-1), C = O Carbonyl isolated (1741.72 cm-1), C = C aromatic. Based on the results of a spectrum of UV-Vis and IR shows both isolates contain flavonoids compound type of flavon or flavonol.
