Abstract

Research on optimization of vanadium (V) analysis in sulfide mineral samples has been carried out by UV-Visible spectrophotometry using 8-hydroxyquinolin extractant. The purpose of this study was to determine the maximum wavelength, optimum pH, 8-hydroxyquinolin concentration, optimum concentration of 8-hydroxyquinine and average vanadium levels in sulfide mineral rock samples. The results werethe maximum wavelength for V 480 nm, the optimum pH for metal V pH 2 while the optimization of the 8-hydroxyquinolin 10-2M, Interference Ca2+ did not interferencewith the analysis of VandV content in sulfide minerals before and after iron depositionwith NaOH at pH 3 is 931,12 μ/g and 259,42 μg / g.
