Abstract

The Tebe Bot dance is a mass dance in the community of Alas Utara Village which is danced at various traditional ceremonies;one of which is at the traditional houses building ceremony.The Tebe Bot dance is currently almost forgotten by the younger generation, and efforts to inherit it are no longer well accepted by the current generation. The formulation of the problem in this research is 1) What is the form or presentation of the Tebe Bot dance at the traditional houses building ceremony in Alas Utara Village, East Kobalima District, Malacca Regency? 2) What aesthetic elements are contained in the Tebe Bot Dance in the Traditional House Building Ceremony in Alas Utara Village, East Kobalima District, Malaka Regency?; The aims of this research are 1) to determine the form of presentation o the Tebe Bot Dance in the Traditional House Building Ceremony in Alas Utara Village, East Kobalima District, Malacca Regency; 2) analyze the aesthetic elements contained in the Tebe Bot Dance in the Traditional House Building Ceremony in Alas Utara Village, East Kobalima District Malacca Regency. This study uses a qualitative method. Research data was collected using interview, obsevation and ducumentatioan techniques, research data sources from traditional elders. Research data was analyzed qualitatively with steps for data reduction, data presentation, verification and drawing conclusions. The research results show that 1) The research results show that the Tebe Bot Dance has a number of aesthetic values, namely: a) flexsible head-down movements; b) foot stomping movenents hitting the ground following the rhythm of the song; c) cross-joining hands to form a strong bond; d) shoulder movenents are a form of strength;
