Abstract

After rice and corn, cassava (cassava) is one of the main local sources of carbohydrates in Indonesia. Apart from being a source of carbohydrates, cassava also has high nutritional value and is very important for health. However, the quality of cassava often decreases due to diseases that attack it. One of the factors that influence the low quality of cassava is the presence of disease and the lack of experts in dealing with this problem. To overcome this, it is necessary to create a system that can help farmers and experts in diagnosing cassava diseases. This system uses the forward chaining method and was developed with the PHP programming language and MYSQL database, following the Expert System Life Cycle (ESLC) system development method. Based on the User Acceptance Testing results, this system provides a satisfactory response with an accuracy of 89.86%. With this application, it is hoped that it can help the public and experts in diagnosing cassava diseases and provide appropriate solutions based on the symptoms identified.
