Abstract

Changes in land use to residential areas significantly influence the use of public transportation modes for meeting the mobility needs of the community in these residential areas. The level of demand for using urban public transportation modes depends on the number of residents in the residential areas along the route. Therefore, the aim of this study is to understand the impact of land use changes along Route 5 in Kupang City on the load factor of public transportation along this route, as well as to assess the load factor of each mode of transportation on Route 5 in Kupang City, travel speeds of each public transportation mode on Route 5, headway, travel time for each mode, service time, and waiting time required by prospective passengers to obtain transportation. This study employs dynamic survey methods, static survey techniques, documentation techniques, and interviews.
