Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this research is : What are the alternatives and criteria used to replace the initial design with the selected material? What is the comparison of the initial design costs with the alternative costs after implementation, Value Angineering on the development project, Job Training Center? How much cost savings van be obtained from analysis, Value Angineering on the building elements of the Job Training Center? The aim of this research to find out what alternatives and materials are use to replace the design, first with the material chosen to find out the cost content of the design, first with alternatives costs that have been analyzed. Value Angineering on the Job Training Center construction project, and to calculate how much cost savings can be obtained from Value Angineering analysis on the Job Training Center building elements. The research method used in the research is descriptive quantitative, sources data used namely literature studies, as well as data collection techniques used in research are primary data and secondary data. The result of the Value Angineering analysis on the Job Training Center (BLK) Construction project by reviewing the stair building elements show the alternatives and criteria used to replace the initial design with recovered materials, namely alternative 2 with the materials chosen being WF steel as beams and stair plates, iron galvanized hollow, 80 mm x 40 mm and galvanized hollow iron 40 mm x 40 mm as steps, steel and galvanized hollow iron 80 mm x 40 mm and hollow iron 40 mm x 40 mm as steps, konweed is used as a substitute, ceramics and the stai railing uses 40 mm x 40 mm hollow iron and large rams as a substitute for tempered glass. Comparison of initial design costs with alternative cost after implementation, value angineering for construction, hall, training and work projects, namely initial design costs of IDR 113.453.191,49 while the cost of the altenative chairman chosen was IDR 54.954.870,83. Savings from LCC calculations on stair building element work amounting to IDR 58.498.320,66 or 51.56% and design costs beginning.
