Abstract

This thesis is entitled: Local Elite Conflict Post Village Head Election. The main problem studied is why conflict occurs and what factors cause conflict in the election of the Head of Leowalu Village, Lamaknen District, Belu Regency. This research aims to determine the forms of political conflict and to determine the factors that cause political conflict after the village head election. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research type and the theory used is local elite conflict theory. Data collection through observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, recitation and data verification. The results of the research show that the conflict occurred due to the dissatisfaction of the 02 village head candidate with the results of the village head election which was won by candidate 01 and also the fraud of the village head election committee which tended to side with one of the village heads during the election for the head of Leowalu Village, District. Lamaknen, Belu Regency in 2019.
