Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know 1) an overview of the human development index in the County/City of East Nusa Tenggara province 2013-2017 year. 2) to know the influence of Poverty, economic growth in partial and significantly to the human development index in the County/City of East Nusa Tenggara province 2013-2017 year. 3) to know the influence of Poverty, economic growth simultaneously and significantly to the human development index in the County/City of East Nusa Tenggara province 2013-2017 year. These studies use quantitative Data, the type of data that can be measured or calculated directly, in the form of information or explanations are expressed with numbers or shaped figures. The source of the Data used in this research is the secondary Data is data source i.e. who do not directly provide the data to the data gatherer for example through another person or through documents, with a significant level of 5%. There are 105 samples in this research are then processed using Eviews 9 and analysed using a regression model data and statistics panel inferensial with five test IE 1) Selection of data panel 2) classic assumption Test 3) multiple linear regression analysis of 4) Test hypothesis 5) analysis of the coefficient of determination (R2). The research results obtained: Poverty and economic growth take effect simultaneously and significantly to the human development index, poverty and economic growth effect in partial and significantly to development index Man. With the results of the determination Coefficient (R2) of 0.806268 meaning that 80.62 percent variable bound to the human development index is capable of variation explained by the independent variables (X 1) of Poverty, economic growth (X 2). While 19.38 percent (100 – 80.62) the rest is explained by other variables that are not included in this research. With the results of this research are recommended to the Government of East Nusa Tenggara province is expected to continue to decrease Poverty and increase economic growth so that it will have an impact on the human development index.
