Abstract
Ketadu Mara is a traditional musical instrument from Sabu Raijua Regency. The existence of the Ketadu Mara among the people of Sabu Raijua Regency is increasingly disappearing, even now it is starting to be difficult to find a place to produce this musical instrument. Therefore, the formulation of the problem that will be studied in this research is what is the organology of the Ketadu Mara musical instrument in Sabu Raijua Regency? The aim of this research is to determine and analyze the organology of the Ketadu Mara musical instrument in Sabu Raijua Regency. The method used in this research is an ethnographic method and uses a qualitative research method approach. Data collection was carried out by observation, documentation and interviews. The results of this research show that the organology of the Ketadu Mara includes 1. The function of the Ketadu Mara musical instrument in the people of Sabu Raijua Regency is as a means of entertainment, 2. The way to play the Ketadu Mara musical instrument is by plucking the strings, 3. The Ketadu Mara musical instrument measures 77 cm, 4. The parts of the Ketadu Mara consist of Kattu Ketadu Mara (head), Wodilu Ketadu Mara (tuner), Ahhu kattu Ketadu Mara (nut), Lakoko Ketadu Mara (neck), Ku'u Ketadu Mara ( fingerboard), Hanga Ketadu Mara (frets), Dallu Ketadu Mara (body), Lua Ketadu Mara (strings), Ahhu wilalai Ketadu Mara (bridge), Pelaga Ahhu Ketadu Mara (saddle), Roa bo Ketadu Mara (Earring hole), 5. The tool used to make Ketadu Mara is, namely machete, wood chisel, hamar, knife, saw, wood profile, wood glue, grinder and nails. Meanwhile, the materials used are kapok wood, coconut shell and strings. 6. The process of making Ketadu musical instruments goes through 10 stages. It is hoped that through this research the people of Sabu Raijua Regency can maintain and preserve the Ketadu Mara as one of the traditional musical instruments of Sabu Raijua Regency.
