Abstract

The Motamasin State Cross Border Poa functions for various needs of parties such as Customs, post later, Immigration, quarantine, security and data management administration. Customs and Excise is one part of the PLBN which records vehicles entering and exiting the border. However, in registering incoming and outgoing vehicles, the obstacles faced by Customs and Excise are often problems in the form of large queues of vehicles which have to be completely recorded one by one and physically checking the vehicles, which is very time consuming. This research aims to develop a web-based application which is one way to overcome this problem by providing an effective platform to speed up the vehicle inspection and verification process to reduce the number of queues at the Motamasin State Cross Border Post. This system development methodology uses a structured software development approach with stages of analysis, design, implementation and testing. This system uses PHP, as well as a MYSQL database for information storage. The test was carried out using the black box method and the test results showed that the web-based application for registering vehicle number plates entering and exiting Motamasin State border posts can run well on various devices and browsers. With this system, it is hoped that it can speed up the process of collecting vehicle number plates at the Motamasin State border post, thereby reducing the number of queues that occur and increasing time efficiency for Customs and vehicle drivers.
