Abstract

Mild assault is one of the forms of criminal offenses that frequently occur in Indonesian society. This paper aims to analyze the process of preparing the Minutes of Examination (BAP) in mild assault cases, as well as the challenges faced in handling them. This research employs a qualitative approach by collecting data from various sources, including police reports and interviews with relevant parties. The findings indicate that although mild assault is classified as a minor offense, its impact can affect the psychological condition of the victim and social relationships within the community. Furthermore, the application of restorative justice in resolving these cases has proven effective in reducing recidivism rates among offenders and providing a better sense of justice for the victims
