Abstract
Availability of complete and accurate rain data is a requirement that needs to be fulfilled but in reality, many cases are found on the groundincompleteness rain data collection. So it is necessary to conduct an in-depth study regarding the relationship between measured rain data and rain data fromsatellite served by several satellites. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the correlation between rain data from BMKG and PERSIAN-CDR & TRMM 3B42 satellite data both in daily rain and monthly rain using the methodcoefficient correlation (r). The results of the analysis showCorrelation coefficient (r) of BMKG rain data and satellite rain data PERSIANN-CDR & TRMM 3B42 daily at the Waikabubak station is 0.182, the relationship is considered non-existent and is 0.241, the relationship is categorized but low, then for the correlation coefficient (r) BMKG rain data and satellite rain dataPERSIANNCDR & TRMM 3B42 daily at Kabukarudi station was 0.268, categorized as a relationship but low and 0.277,categorized as a relationship but low. Correlation coefficient (r) of BMKG rain data and satellite dataPERSIANN-CDR & TRMM 3B42 monthly at the Waikabubak station is 0.822,categorized as high relationship and 0.788, categorized as high relationship, then for the correlation coefficient (r) BMKG rain data and satellite rain dataPERSIANNCDR & TRMM 3B42 monthly at Kabukarudi station is 0.874, categorized as high relationship and 0.897, categorized as high relationship. In addition, a comparison graph of BMKG measured rain data and satellite rain dataPERSIANN-CDR & TRMM 3B42 Daily and monthly tend to be similar howeverunderestimate (the value of satellite rain data tends to be below the BMKG measured rain data).
