ANALISIS KEKERINGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE SPI DAN PDSI PADA DAERAH ALIRAN SUNGAI LILIBA.pdf Restricted to Repository staff only Download (509kB) |
Abstract
This study conducted an analysis of drought in the province of NTT, a case of Liliba watershed, which is located in Kupang and Kupang City districts. This study applied the Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) and Palmer drought severity index (PDSI) methods. As a reference for the accuracy of the two methods in this study was the National Weather Service report. The analysis results show that for the SPI method, the smaller the time span selected, the more often the SPI graph moves above and below zero (0). Conversely, the greater the time span value, the movement of the SPI chart becomes less frequent. The SPI method cannot identify extreme drought and extraordinary drought. Meanwhile, the PDSI analysis shows that 61 percent have a match in the identification of drought conditions. However, in a more detailed adjustment analysis, there is still a mismatch in the drought category. However, the results of the PDSI analysis are much better than the SPI method. The SPI and PDSI drought distribution maps are the same in terms of mapping the upstream areas as areas experiencing low drought exposure and downstream areas as areas with high drought severity
