Abstract
This study aims to analyze the mathematical creative thinking of eighth grade junior high school students in solving problems of flat shapes,especially rectangles and parallelograms.This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used are observation ,creative thinking test and interviews and interview guidelines . The subject of this research is 1 student with high ability. The creative thinking indicators used include fluency, flexibility, and novelty.The result of the research is concluded based on the level of creative thinking ability ( TBK ) . The results showed that the subject first met the three indicators of the three indicators (fluency, flexibility of novelty), so that they were classified as being in TBK 3 (creative)
