Abstract
This study aims to describe the type of error of elementary school students in solving the question of the Rhombus story is reviewed from the breakdown of Newman. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. This research was conducted on the students of SDN Bestobe, district of North central Timor (TTU) class V which amounted to 2 students with low proficiency. Data collection techniques in this study used test techniques, interviews. The validity of the data is done by the triangulation of the time, by comparing the test data and interviews obtained at two different times. Analytical techniques are done by correcting student work to analyse the mistakes that students are supported with the results of interviews. The results of this study indicate that both subjects made the same mistake in the error indicators of understanding and error transformation, error process skills and error writing answers.
