Abstract

This research aims to develop an e-comerce for UMKM creator in North Bikomi District as an effort to strengthen independent villages in border areas. The sales system for UMKM products has been carried out at exhibitions at the sub-district, district and provincial levels. At the provincial level, only two or three groups are usually represented. As a result, sales of UMKM products cannot be carried out by all UMKM creator. Apart from that, the job opportunities created are minimal because the products needed are only limited to exhibitions. For this reason, a website system was developed using Magento tools. The Magento tool is a Content Management System (CMS) platform that makes it easy to build sales websites without coding. Magento CMS was chosen because Magento is one of the platforms most widely used by buying and selling sites in the world and has complete features. Additionally, Magento has high performance scores compared to its competitors. The research method used is the Rapid Application Development (RAD) model development method. The RAD method makes it easier for MSME groups to market their products. This is because MSME actors are directly involved from the start of website development, so that website use is immediately targeted according to MSME needs. Thus, this sales website helps existing SMEs and society in general to improve their standard of living through the creative economy.
