Abstract
Research has been carried out on optimizing the extraction of manganese and zinc in sulfide minerals using dithizon extract in chloroform solvent. Vis.Optimization of pH in the extraction of Mn and Zn metals was carried out at pH 2-13, while optimizing the dithizon concentration in the extraction of Mn and Zn metals at dithizon concentrations of 10-6 to 10-2 M and analysis of Mn and Zn content in sulfide minerals with dithizon extractants in chloroform solvent by UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The results showed that Mn and Zn extraction was optimum at pH 11 and 8. Dithizon concentration was 0.01 M for Mn and Zn extraction. Mn and Zn content in Sulfide Minerals were respectively 5586.34 µg/g for Mn, and 1221.88 µg/g for Zn.
