## Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of learning by using the SSCS learning model, to determine the ability to understand students 'mathematical concepts, and to find out whether there is an influence of the Search Solve Create Share (SSCS) learning model on the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts. This type of research is experimental research. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 6 Kupang Tengah. The population in this study all class VIII, amounting to three classes. The sample in this study was one class, students of class VIII B selected by simple random sampling. The instruments in this study were observation and comprehension ability tests for 4 numbered description items. The data used in this study are pretest and posttest data, the data obtained will be obtained using the SPSS version 22 program. From the results of the analysis obtained in the normality test for pretest data obtained Asyamp values. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.125 > 0.05 = α and Dhitung = 0.167 < 0.287= Dtable, then the pretest data has a normal distribution. While for the posttest data the value of Ashyamp is obtained. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.062 > 0.05 and Dhitung = 0.184 < 0.287 = Dtable, the postets data are normally distributed. T-test results show that t-count = -9,286 and t-table = 2,086 which means t-count < t-table, then reject H0. The results of this study indicate that using the SSCS learning model influences the ability to understand mathematical concepts.
