Abstract

Graphic design has become a necessity in various areas of life. The Photoshop training program provides skills in the field of graphic design where currently graphic design science is increasingly becoming one of the sciences that promises to get and create job opportunities. A person's ability to design can continue to be developed by using the Photoshop application. Increasing personal and professional abilities can be a person's selling power. In this way, students can compete professionally and their personal abilities will increase personally. In a wordpress.com article about high school information and communication technology (ICT) material, the author only found learning about the basics of computer use and about the history of the internet. Furthermore, through initial discussions that the author had with SMAN 1 Amfoang Barat Utara, the author found that many students were not yet familiar with professional design applications such as Photoshop. Based on these problems, a service activity was carried out with the title "Photoshop Application Training for Photo Editing, Poster Design, Instagram Feeds for Students of SMAN 1 Amfoang Barat Utara". The fundamental contribution of this service activity is that students of SMAN 1 Amfoang Barat Utara after participating in this training have increased knowledge, information skills and personal competence regarding the use of technology for graphic design using the Photoshop application which is done through the design of posters, flyers and Instagram feeds. The results of this service activity show that there is a change in the understanding and ability of students at SMAN 1 Amfoang Barat Utara in using the Photoshop application. This success is manifested in the students' ability to design posters, do video editing, upload videos to YouTube accounts, manage Instagram feeds, and design posters to commemorate the Birthday of the Republic of Indonesia
