Abstract
The rapid development of technology has had a negative impact on children's interest in reading. This then has an impact on children's literacy and numeracy abilities. Literacy and numeracy skills are basic skills that are needed by children because they are essentially the basis for learning other sciences. This ability is also very useful in overcoming a problem and making decisions. Aman Calistung is an acronym for Adikku Mantap Membaca, Menulis, and Berhitung. This program is intended to help elementary school-aged children learn to read, write, and count. These efforts are made to facilitate the community in developing and strengthening literacy and numeracy cultures, especially in this era of technological development. The Safe Calistung program was run by 16 KKNT-PPM students at Widya Mandira Catholic University Kupang at SD Inpres Tarus 1 and PAUD Bunda for three weeks. With this program, students can introduce letters to children, and some students can even read a paragraph. For numeracy skills, some grade 1 elementary school students have been proficient in solving addition and subtraction problems. For students from class V to class VIII, the assisted results gave quite good results, where the time to calculate was much faster than in the previous situation.
