Abstract

Along with the development of increasingly complex life, today's young generation begins to be faced with the need to make financial decisions related to their activities every day. However, many of them do not have the skills or knowledge needed to do so. Therefore, it is necessary to have a program launched in order to increase their understanding of the financial concepts needed in their lives. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase the understanding of financial concepts from Student Council Members of SMPK St. Joseph Naikoten. The increase in understanding in question is about how to manage expenses every day, as well as how to save using appropriate financial products or services. This community service activity took place on November 26, 2022. The participants of this activity were 51 students who were members of the Student Council of SMPK St. Joseph Naikoten. The activity consists of two sessions, namely material presentation as well as questions and answers and games. Through this activity, students of SMPK St. Joseph Naikoten Student Council members can get to know the 50/30/20 method that can be used to manage their finances every day. In addition, they can also get to know various products and services from financial institutions such as bank accounts and insurance. The result of this activity was an increase in students' interest and understanding of how to keep daily financial records, open personal bank accounts, and increase income other than parents.
