Abstract

MSMEs' ability to manage finances is the key to operational success. There are many obstacles faced by MSMEs, such as lack of knowledge of human resources and financial management, MSME players have not utilized accounting information optimally, and some have not even implemented it. Some MSMEs think that implementing accounting only makes the work of MSMEs more difficult. This phenomenon commonly occurs due to a lack of awareness the importance of accounting records in business management. However, awareness of the importance of bookkeeping is crucial so that business people can design better business strategies in the future. Implementation of this community service activity uses the focus group discussion method. The object of this activity is MSME actors in Bolok Village. The number of MSME actors who took part in this activity was four MSME actors. The activity stages are the first to deliver material about the importance of recording every business transaction in a simple way, including the importance of separating personal finances from business finances and also the importance of consistency in carrying out bookkeeping records. The next step is to provide direct practical training on basic bookkeeping concepts. finance that is easy to understand and can be applied by MSME players. The results of this activity include increasing understanding of financial management, the practice of separating personal and business finances, the importance of proper recording, as well as MSME players' understanding of the steps in preparing simple bookkeeping to manage a business. The training program on simple bookkeeping has had a positive impact on the participants. MSME actors in the village. Training participants demonstrate learning the basic concepts of bookkeeping and applying them to MSME business practices.
