Abstract

This study aims to 1) determine the application of the problem based learning (PBL) learning model assisted by the application media of our earth and the solar system has a significant effect on student learning outcomes on the material of the earth and the solar system, 2) determine student learning activities through the application of the problem based learning (PBL) learning model assisted by the application media of our earth and the solar system on the material of the earth and the solar system. The sample of this study was 22 students in grade VII. Data collection techniques used observation and test questions. The results of the study showed that 1) the pretest learning outcomes with an average value of 41.3, while the posttest was 82.7. The use of media applications of our earth and the solar system has a significant influence on the cognitive learning outcomes of students, the Asymp.sig value (2-tailed of 0.000 is smaller than the critical limit of the study of 0.05 (0.000 <0.05), 2). activities observed are visual, oral, listening, writing, motoric and emotional aspects. For all activity indicators, both visual, oral, listening, writing, motoric and emotional aspects, an average score of 90.19% was obtained with a very active category. Thus, the results of this study indicate that there is an increase in learning outcomes and learning activities of students after the application of media applications of our earth and the solar system on the material of the earth and the solar system in class VII of junior high school.
