Abstract

This study aims to develop local wisdom-based teaching materials on the material of rhombus. The method used is Research and Development(R&D) with a 4-D development model modified into 3-D (Define, Design,Develop). Local wisdom integrated into the teaching materials is the Rote Ndao weaving motif. The date presentation techniques used are intetviews with teachers, filing out questionnaires conducted by material experts in the form of teaching material validation questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires and studen response questionnaires on the teaching materials that have been developed, and tests carried out by students, the data analysis techniques used are validity analysis, practicality analysis, effectiveness analysis an Normal Gain test. The results of the study showed that the teaching materials developed met the valid criteria with a score of 86,66%, the teaching material developed met the very practical criteria from teacher and student responses with scores of 84% and 81,84%, the teaching materials developed met the criteria very effective in increasing student learning motivation with a score of 94,7%. Thus, this local wisdom-based teaching material can be an alternative in learning mathematics that is more contextual and meaningful for student.
