Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study is How is the model of women's resistance in rejecting the construction of the Poco Leok Geothermal. The purpose of this study is to understand and find out the model of women's resistance in rejecting the construction of the Poco Leok Geothermal. The development of the use of geothermal energy globally as an access to transitional energy renewal. The renewal is based on global developments in the use of environmentally friendly energy sources. On that factor, the argument for the transition from using fossil energy to low-carbon emission goods. The transition is made a global agenda as a form of preserving nature. The research method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. This study utilizes data analysis techniques from interviews, observations and documentation of women's resistance in Poco Leok. The variables used are Physical Resistance and Non-Physical Resistance. Physical resistance includes demonstrations and obstructions. While Non-Physical Resistance includes mass media and alliance collaboration. The sources for this study are the Poco Leok community which includes women, men, Tua Golo (traditional leaders), village heads, Ponggeok parish priests and Walhi NTT. The results of the study showed that Poco Leok women carried out Resistance against Geothermal Poco Leok. The actions carried out were demonstrations, obstruction, mass media and alliance collaboration. Poco Leok women did not get the same thing to express their opinions in public. This was indicated by Poco Leok women being active in carrying out resistance actions.
