Abstract
This research is entitled "Strategies of Village-Owned Enterprises in Increasing Village Original Income in Tebara Village, Kota Waikabubak District, West Sumba Regency in 2025". The main goal is to describe the strategies used by BUMDes Iyya Tekki in Tebara Village in order to contribute to increasing Village Original Income (PADes). The method used is qualitative descriptive, focusing on the BUMDes strategy variables. The research resource persons are parties who know, implement, and implement BUMDes strategies. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show several important points: (1). The development of tourism products by BUMDes has not been optimal. Despite efforts to improve facilities such as roads and traders' stalls, as well as the construction of market stalls, the tourism products offered (lodging, restaurants, souvenir shops, special transportation, guides, and tour packages) are not yet fully available or organized. Other tourism potentials such as Lake Wee Boro and megalithic cultural heritage have also not been utilized to the fullest. (2). The business strategy with friendly service has been running well, shown by the hospitality of the people of Prai Ijing Village. BUMDes Iyya Tekki has tried to provide maximum service, such as maintaining the cleanliness of the market premises, serving fertilizer/rice/rice/corn loans in the Village Barn, and good service to tourists by the POKDARWIS of Prai Ijing Tourism Village, although the results have not been fully as expected. (3). Online promotion is carried out through various social media (Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, etc.), but not professionally. Overall, BUMDes Iyya Tekki strives to manage village businesses and assets for the welfare of the people of Tebara Village, although they still face challenges in optimizing tourism product development and promotion professionalism. Therefore, it is recommended to: (1). The West Sumba Regional Government to continue to support the village economy with various assistance and counseling from all related agencies. (2). The Tebara Village Government is trying to establish its own office for BUMDes Iyya Tekki for its independence. Improve service, staff professionalism, and improve public facilities. (3). BUMDes Iyya Tekki to immediately build its own office for maximum service. Improving the ability of administrators through governance training and creativity to optimize village assets. (4). The people of Tebara Village to be more proactive in participating in the village economy and prioritizing common interests. (5). Researchers are further advised to focus on the study, deepen the understanding of the object, expand the reference, and consider adding variables, mixed methods, and expanding the scope of research.
