Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of women's ikat weaving business groups to increase family income in Tasinifu Village, Mutis District, North Central Timor Regency. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. With data collection techniques of observation, interviews and documentation of 10 ikat weaving craftsmen in Tasinifu Village, using snowball sampilng. Colllecte data analyzed using Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusins drawing. The resulst of this study indicate a significant increasing of family income. The results of this study proved that women ikat weaving group activity increase economic income in the family, thus they did not depend on their husband’s income, member of ikat weaving gruop did no depend on others but they also have initiative and creativity. While the results of increasing income are proven from the monthly income from the sale of woven fabrics, sheet, shawl, and, sarong.
