Abstract

A decision support system (DSS) is a system used to solve problems that is usually used to determine choices according to predetermined criteria and alternatives. Based on observations, choosing a study program for high school/vocational school and equvalent students who want to continue their studies at university is a phenomenon that is qute confusing, because the process of determining the study program to be taken is a big decision that has a very long-term impact on a student's career. in the future. The purpose of this study is to develop a Decision Support System (SPK) for Study Program Selection at the Faculty of Engineering, Widya Mandira Catholic University, Kupang. This system will be able to offer students recommendations and references for majors that align with their high school report card grades, interests, and talents. The system may be used to help make judgments more objectively based on the evaluation criteria for each chosen candidate, and the test results from using the AHP technique in the system and manual testing have the same calculation results. The University may expedite the selection process, cut expenses, and improve decision-making accuracy by employing this approach..
