Abstract

Citra Bina Insan Mandiri Foundation is one of educational institution entailing Christian characters, which covers some education units namely Kindergarten, Elementary School, Junior and Senior High School. The work schedule at Citra Bina Insan Mandiri Foundation starts at 08.30 AM up to 04.30 PM. Based on the data, it was found out that in2017 violations of working hours were 904 cases and in 2018 1,398 cases. The aim of this research is to find out: 1) Description of work discipline, work motivation, leadership, and fingerprint attendancesystems at Citra Bina Insan Mandiri Kupang Foundation2) Theinfluence significantlyleadership and fingerprint attendanceto the employee’s work motivation at Citra Bina Insan Mandiri Kupang Foundation3)Theinfluence significantlywork motivation, leadership and fingerprint attendancesystems tothe employees’ work discipline at Citra Bina Insan Mandiri Kupang foundation.The results of the descriptive statistical analysis indicated that the work discipline (69.22%), work motivation (68.37%), leadership (68.23%), and the fingerprint attendancesystems (69.43%) at Citra Bina Insan Mandiri Kupang Foundation. The results of path analysis showed that leadership (4.335, sig. 0.000), and fingerprint attendancesystems (16,463; sig. 0,000 < 0.05) had a positive and significant effect on work motivation. Besides, the work motivation (3.506, sig. 0.000 < 0.05); leadership (1.996, sig. 0.046 < 0.05), and fingerprint attendancesystems (7.029, sig. 0.000 < 0.05) had a positive and significant effect on the employees’ work discipline at Citra Bina Insan Mandiri Kupang Foundation. The results of determination coefficient (R2) indicated that work motivation, leadership and fingerprint attendance contributed 66.9% on workdiscipline. Furthermore, leadership and fingerprint absence systems contributed 97.4% on work motivation.Based on these results, it is suggested to the management of Citra Bina Insan Mandiri Kupang Foundation to improve employees’ discipline by increasing work motivation, leadership quality and fingerprint attendancesystems.
