Abstract

A contextual approach is one approach to teaching that helps teachers relate the material being taught with real-world situation, by involving learners in the experimental activities to make connections between the material is being studied with its application in everyday life. A common problem in this research were: 1) how teachers ' ability in managing learning by applying the contextual approach to the subject matter of heat and its relocation on learners classes VII B SMP Negeri 9 to odd semester year Kupang the teaching of 2018/2019? 2) How complete indicators of the results of the learning learners by applying the contextual approach to the subject matter of heat and its relocation on learners classes VII B SMP Negeri 9 to odd semester academic year Mussel 2018/2019? 3) learning results complete) how learners by applying the contextual approach to the subject matter of heat and its relocation on learners classes VII B SMP Negeri 9 to odd semester academic year Mussel 2018/2019? 4) How learner response towards learning by applying the contextual approach to the subject matter of heat and its relocation on learners classes VII B SMP Negeri 9 to odd semester academic year Mussel 2018/2019? Based on the outline of the issues that have been raised, then the purpose of this research was: 1) Describe the ability of teachers in managing learning by applying the contextual approach to the subject matter of heat and its relocation on learners class VII B SMP Negeri 9 to odd semester academic year Mussel 2018/2019. 2) Describes the learning outcome indicators complete learners by applying the contextual approach to the subject matter of heat and its relocation on learners classes VII B SMP Negeri 9 to odd semester academic year Edition 2018/2019? 3) Describe the learning results complete learners by applying the contextual approach to the subject matter of heat and its relocation on learners classes VII B SMP Negeri 9 to odd semester academic year Mussel 2018/2019. 4) Describes the response of the students towards learning by applying the contextual approach to the subject matter of heat and its relocation on learners classes VII B SMP Negeri 9 to odd semester academic year Mussel 2018/2019. Type of this research is descriptive research. The subject in this study is the teacher (researcher) and learners classes VII B amounted to 33 people. Sampling technique is used that is purposive sampling. The research design used i.e. One Group Pretest – Posttest Design. Data collection techniques are used namely observation, test, and the question form. The instruments used, namely sheets of observation and assessment of learning management (planning, implementation, and evaluation), tests the results of the study of cognitive, affective learning outcomes assessment sheets, sheet psychomotor learning outcomes assessment, and sheet stuffing response learners. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the application of the contextual approach to the subject matter of heat and its relocation on learners classes VII B SMP Negeri 9 to odd semester academic year Mussel 2018/2019 is optimal i.e. management learning including the stages of planning, implementation and evaluation of obtained an average score of 4.00 respectively; 3.62; 3.67. Ketuntasan indicators of the results of the study achieved an average score of 0.83. Ketuntasan the results of the study of cognitive, affective and psychomotor earns an average score of 0.83 respectively; 0.83; 0.87. Response learners gain the average percentage of 85%.
