Abstract

Problem Based Instruction Model is a teaching model with the students teaching approach of learnes on an authentic problem to improve creativity and high-order thinking skills. The background in the study is the subject matter of heat that is closely related to the real daily activities and experienced by students. The general problem in the research is how the results of the application of the problem based instruction Model of Basic Matter in the students of class VIIA odd semester SMPN 12 Kupang in academic Year 2018/2019? Spesifically, the problems of this research are: 1) how the ability of teachers in managing learning activities by applying the problem based instruction Models on the subject matter of central sumor on the students of class VIIA SMPN 12 Kupang odd semester. SMPN 12 Kupang in academic Year 2018/2019? 2) How to complete the learning outcome indicators by applying the problem based instruction models on the subject matter of the central sumor on the students of class VIIA of the odd semester SMPN 12 Kupang in academic Year 2018/2019? 3) How the learning outcomes of learnes by applying problem based instruction Model staple principal matter in students VIIA odd semester SMPN 12 in academic Year 2018/2019? 4) How the learners response to the learning process by applying the problem based instruction Models on the subject matter of the heat on the students of class VIIA SMPN 12 Kupang odd semester. SMPN 12 Kupang in academic Year 2018/2019? The purposive of yhis research in general is to describe the results of the application of problem based instruction Models On the subject matter of Central Sumor on students VIIA SMPN 12 Kupang odd semester. SMPN 12 Kupang in academic Year 2018/2019. Specifically, the purposive of this study are: 1) Describe the ability of teachers in mamaging learning activities by applying the Problem Based Instruction Models on the subject matter of heat on the students of class VIIA SMPN 12 Kupang odd semester. SMPN 12 Kupang in academic year 2018/2019? 2) Describe the completeness of indicators of learning outcomes by applying the Problem Based Instruction Models on the subject matter of Central Sumor on the stdents of Class VIIA odd semester of SMPN 12 Kupang in academic Year 2018/2019? 3) Describe the learning outcomes of learners by applying Problem Based Instruction Models staple principal matter in students Class VIIA semester odd SMPN 12 Kupang in academic Year 2018/2019? 4) Describe the learners response to the learning process by applying the Problem Based Instruction Models on the subject matter of Heat on the students of class VIIA semester odd. SMPN 12 Kupang in academic Year 2018/2019? The type of this research is descriptive research. Subjects in this study were teachers and students Class viia Odd semester SMPN 12 Kupang in the Year 2018/2019. Learning tools used are syllabus, learning implementation plan, student work sheet, learning materials of learners. The techniques use in seleting the subject of research students Class VIIA SMPN 12 Kupang is a purposed sample. To collect the data, the researcher used the techniques: observation, test, and questionnaire. While the instrument used in this study is the observation sheet of learning management by applying the learning model based on the subject matter of the subject matter of calor, the cognitive learning result learning gratings, the learning process, the test result learning grid psychomotor, affective learning test grid affective and student response sheet. The researcher then made a descriptive analyez which included computation of average score, proportion, and percentage. The Design is One-Group Pretest-posttest design. Based on the results of descriptive statistical analysiss of research data shows that in general the application of problem based instruction model on the subject mater heat learners class VIIA odd semester SMPN 12 Kupang in academic Year 2018/2019 is optimal.
