Abstract

In detail the objectives to be achieved are: (1) Describe the teacher's ability to manage learning by applying discovery learning models learning. (2) Describe the completeness of learning outcome indicators by applying discovery learning learning models. (3) Describe the completeness of learning outcomes by applying discovery learning learning models. (4) Describe the response of students by applying discovery learning learning models. This type of research is descriptive research, the subjects in this study were teachers (researchers) and students of class VII M in the odd semester of SMP Negeri 2 Kupang in 2018/2019 school year totaling 31 students. The subject of this study was determined using purposive sampling technique which is a sample determination technique with certain considerations. The research design used was one-group pretest and post-test design. The techniques used in collecting data are observation, tests and questionnaires. The instruments used in this study were learning management observation sheets, learning outcome test sheets and student response sheets. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis techniques which include average scores, proportions and percentages Based on the results of descriptive analysis of research data and discussion of research results obtained that learning by applying discovery learning learning model subject matter temperature and change in students of class VII M odd semester of SMP Negeri 2 Kupang in 2018/2019 the total number of 31 students is optimal. In detail the teacher's ability in managing learning which includes learning planning, implementation of learning and learning evaluation planning are all in category 93,27%. Indicators of cognitive, affective and psychomotor learning outcomes are all complete. Completeness of learning outcomes for cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects are all complete. Students' responses in learning activities that cover twenty aspects are all good
