Abstract

Numerical ability is the ability to count which students need to complete calculations in the form of numbers logically. Learning motivation is power (power motivation), driving force, or builder of willingness and strong desire in students to actively learn, creative, effective, innovative, and fun in the context of behavioral change, both in cognitive aspects , affective, and psychomotor. Cognitive learning outcomes are the values obtained by students. Discovery learning learning model is cognitive learning that requires teachers to be more creative in creating situations that can make active learning learners find their own knowledge. The problem formulation in this study is 1) How is the of Numerical Ability, Learning Motivation and Cognitive Learning Outcomes. 2) Is there a partial effect (each) between numerical ability and learning motivation on cognitive learning outcomes? 3) Is there a Simultaneous Influence (Simultaneous) Numerical Ability and Learning Motivation Against Cognitive Learning Outcomes? The purpose of this study is 1) Describe the Overview of Numerical Ability, Learning Motivation and Cognitive Learning Outcomes 2) To determine the Partial Effect (Numerical) between Numerical Ability and Learning Motivation on Cognitive Learning Outcomes 3) To determine the simultaneous effect (simultaneously) of numerical ability and learning motivation on cognitive learning outcomes. This type of research is descriptive research and associative research. The research data collection site is Kupang 1 Christian High School. Research variables are numerical ability and learning motivation as independent variables while cognitive learning outcomes are dependent variables. Research instruments are numerical ability test sheets, learning motivation questionnaire sheets, and cognitive learning outcome test sheets. The results of the study showed that the average numerical ability of students in class X IPA 2 of SMA Kristen 1 Kupang on learning outcomes was 91,7 and included very special criteria. The results of the questionnaire on learning motivation of students had an average of 67.03 with a range of values. (61% - 80%) is categorized as high learning motivation. Completion of cognitive learning outcomes is known that the average value of 0.87 is in the range of values (0.75-1.00) then categorized completeness of cognitive learning outcomes is very good. Based on the results of descriptive and associative analysis, in general it can be concluded that the numerical abilities of students of Class X IPA 2 kupang Christian High School 1 are categorized quite high, the learning motivation of class X IPA 2 Kupang 1 Christian High School is categorized very well, and the cognitive learning outcomes of participants students of class X IPA 2 Kupang 1 Christian High School with a total of 30 participants not categorized as complete.
